1st Annual Lab_13 Award at Irchester!

At the end of the year Year 6 students held a “Night at the Oscars”. There was a red carpet, “champagne” reception and, most importantly, awards! This gave us the opportunity to have the 1st ever Annual Lab_13 Award at Irchester!

Here is the speech…

“Most children are curious about their world – they’ll ask questions such as ‘How?’ and ‘Why?’. A true scientist goes one step further – a scientist asks ‘What if?’, ‘Can I’ and ‘Will it’.

This award is for someone who not only asks questions about their world, they also try to discover the answers. They are logical in their thinking and also in their recording. They look for links between what they observe and their scientific knowledge and understanding. Not only that, but they have been a dedicated founder member of our Lab_13 Management Committee- giving up their time to organize, present and record the goings on in our new laboratory – and doing it conscientiously and in a very mature manner. This award goes to…..

Congratulations Sian and thanks for all the hard work!

I think that some of the Lab_13 questions and experiments should be included
