EWS update!

Hi guys it’s Ben here from Lab_13 EWS!!!!

Hope every one had a great christmas. sorry we haven’t posted in a while as you can imagine we have been very busy.

Myself, Bradley and Siani are contiuning to embark on our CREST qualifications. I am investigating how diet effects the pH of bodily fluids. Bradley is looking at the effectivness of certain hand washes And Siani is doing a fantastic project to do with the physics of dance and its effects on the body!! If anyone has expertise in any of these areas it would be much obliged if you could get in touch and act as a mentor to one of our students.

We have recently be starting dissections of mice, frogs and eyes!!! It was really educational and particularly useful for those interested in the biological sciences.

Last year 2 teams of students went to participate in top of the bench. While the first team didn’t do too well the second came 12th overall and placed in the top 5 for the titration alone!!

Miss Tyler went with a group of sixth form students to see an electron microscope. It was a great day and enjoyed by all.

If you would be interested in coming to visit Lab_13 here at EWS please just get in touch with Miss Tyler (contact details for this and to volunteer to act as a mentor for one of the students participating in CREST are below.)
