Light Graffiti in Dads Club

Dads Club continues to be one of the most fun afterschool clubs in Irchester.

This week, George’s stepdad come in to show off the effect of light graffiti. Pupils and dads of our school had some fun with the light graffiti by making pictures using themselves as the models.

To do this we had slowed the shutter speed so the camera would capture everything in theDSC_0014 30 second limit. If you moved to much you would either go blurry, or disappear from the picture! So in reality we were drawing around everybody quickly with a glow stick and torches, while the person was as still as a statue! Some children like Jake Harrison pretended to be a medieval king and Morgans Dad wanted to be wrapped in fire!

DSC_0031It was a great experience for everyone to try as we had seen the effect before on TalkTalk ads. The other dads joined in and some have even tried it out at home too with “mixed results”. We discovered some problems which we will overcome the next time such as not having a dark enough space and trying to plan our drawings before hand.
