DSC and turning 3!

This week we welcome the four new Year5s to the Irchester committee. They will introduce themselves next week.  We have partnered up with them and will mentor them for a few weeks until they know how to do all the roles required of a Lab_13 committee member.

This week in Lab_13 Irchester we have been planning two hugely exciting projects

  • The Launch of our newest big project – Dirty Stinky Children
  • Lab_13’s 3rd birthday!!!

Dirty, Stinky Children is a project all about microbes, germs and illnesses (and other disgusting stuff like that.) It will be a whole school project which means all 350 kids in our school even the little ones in Foundation will be learning about microbiology and biomedical science.  Our teachers are making sure that every single science lesson from now until summer holidays is about answering OUR questions about being dirty stinky children! Even our teachers will be learning about microbiology! We are planning an amazing launch assembly on Tuesday next week so we will let you know if it is a success.

Now for information on our birthday… YAY!

We (Lab_13 Irchester) are going to be 3 years old on May 27th. Unfortunately it will be the half term so we will be celebrating on Friday 23rd instead.  We will have loads of fun and….. CAKE! We are trying to think of themes for the birthday and make sure that every child and teacher in school has a fun and scientific time at our birthday party!
