Irchester’s Lab_13 Lectures coming soon!

Poster 2016

Places still available, schools book now!

Here in the Irchester Lab-13 Committee we’ve been getting ready for something very big: the Lab_13 Lectures! For the fourth year running, we will be at Wollaston Secondary School on the 18th March with some great lectures from both adults and us!

We’ve been preparing for our lectures for a long time, and have even tested out our experiments on year four with fascinating results. We can’t wait to share our results with everybody at the lectures! We’ll be doing lectures in the morning and in the afternoon in front of year five, six and maybe some year sevens from lots of different schools. As well as us, there will be a lecture from Scott Turner from the University of Northampton, a Physics vs Chemistry battle between two teachers from Wollaston, and Rick Hall from Ignite with a possible guest appearance by Lab_13 Ghana!

In one of our Lectures we’ll be talking about fascinating ways to trick our bodies and how they work, and in the other we’ll try out our amazing sports drinks and let you know what we’ve been discovering! We have had to do a lot in preparation, planning and research. All of the committee members have never done the lectures before, so we are all looking forward to it but we do all feel nervous too! We still have to rehearse lots, so that we are confident and know what to do by the time we need to perform.
