Lindsey has started planning for NSEW 2011!
This year we have animal handling sessions coming into school and workshops run by teachers and Lindsey for all year groups. We were lucky to be awarded a British Science Association grant to allow us to get the animal handling man into school, as travel costs to our part of Lincolnshire can be prohibitive.
On Monday 21st March we also have the StarLincs planetarium coming to school. They will be seeing students during the day but in the evening Lab_13 is running an astronomy sessions for students in year 5-9 (including students from our local primary schools). There will be a short planetarium show, the chance to make your own telescope to take home, making constellation tubes, star spotting, using telescope and binoculars (if it’s clear), making your own planet and a showing of some exciting solar system clips.
I can’t wait for science week this year!
